At this time of year and with a General Election looking it is appropriate to remember those who gave their lives and limbs for our democracy and freedom.

The Great War’ gave rise to numerous reports of of paranormal phenomena, starting with the Battle of Mons (August 1914) when many soldiers claimed they had been guided to safety from the battlefield by the spirit of a medieval archer from the nearby battlefield of Agincourt (1415). Following the massive global casualties of The Great War millions who had lost loved ones turned to Spiritualism and Mediums for comfort by contacting the dead.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
